Growing a foundational fast charging network.
With the expectation of over 200,000 electric vehicles on Tennessee Valley roadways by 2028, TVA has committed to help develop a foundational fast charging network across the region, ensuring fast charging stations are located at least every 50 miles along major travel corridors. Since 2022, with the help of local power companies and state partners, we have established 120 chargers at 49 Fast Charge Network sites in TVA’s seven state service territory.
This program is intended to complement the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) formula funding program, which seeks to build out fast charging EV infrastructure along designated Alternative Fuel Corridors.
