How does Rapid Rebuilding
Assistance work?

TVA EnergyRight® for Business & Industry is now offering Rapid Rebuilding Assistance to commercial and industrial customers through incentive funding for eligible energy replacement projects. This assistance is available for TVA-served counties declared major disaster areas by FEMA. Projects will be expedited so customers can receive critical funds quickly for efficient replacement lighting, HVAC and refrigeration.

Benefits of Rapid Rebuilding Assistance.

  • Two-year application period from FEMA-declared date (beginning September 2024).

  • Assistance with applications and contractors.

  • No pre-inspection required.

  • Equipment ordered and installed after the disaster and prior to application approval is allowed.

  • Incentives are paid by check upon project completion.

Program eligibility requirements.

  • Impacted businesses or industrials in a FEMA-declared county in TVA’s service area.

  • Projects from FEMA-declared dates on or after September 1, 2024.

  • The incentive application must be received within 24 months of the FEMA-declared date.

  • Purchased equipment must meet minimum efficiency requirements.

  • Provide invoices, specification sheets, and proof of event insurance claim.
